Back in January of 2009 I had a very nice lady named Lenicia Gordon e-mail me that she and some fellow teachers wanted to join our "peek into Germany" tour in Holland this year.

She added that she was in the process of applying for a grant that would enable her to take the trip.

I had never heard of this before but was so captured by her goal that I immediately wanted to aid in any way possible to make this happen for her.

As it happens I didn't hear back from Lenicia for many months and the trip filled. I am a firm believer in "good kharma" and as luck would have it I had a last minute cancellation - no kidding - one day before I heard again from Lenicia.

When I heard she has been awarded the grant I was tickled and scurried to accommodate our three teachers from Texas.
