Dear Suzie and Roger, I have refrained from washing ALL of the dirt out of my blue bike jacket. As you may recall, I have had the good fortune to participate in a number of supported bike tours. While each holds memories of special moments and happy thoughts, none compare in overall pleasure to our recent ride on the C&O canal towpath and the " Suzie rolling hills".

Well planned bike routes, lodging, meals, nice fellow riders, and competent leaders are pretty much a given in order to remain in business these days. In my judgment, Bike and The Like provides a heightened experience by displaying warmth and caring concern for each rider, as an individual EVERYDAY of the ride.

I asked Roger to check my brakes before descending the 8 mile hill. He did so with confidence and kindness, and I took off feeling that the downhill would be a blast. It was. I witnessed the same gracious attitude as others, may I use the word, pestered him.

Suzie, you are the consummate people person. You figuratively wrapped us all in a cocoon of encouragement, solicitude, and just plain fun. I'll never forget how delicious that turkey sandwich on a little bagel tasted while sitting on a bench outside the Antietam Battlefield. So what that we were freezing cold and soaked to the bone. ...the Suzie lunch powered us on.

Suzie and Roger, Paul and I really enjoyed the Rhode Island trip. The weather was definitely in our favor on this trip. The routes you designed were perfect including the backroads and the scenery.
