Enjoy the enchanting landscapes of Holland-where cycling is a way of life. We'll skirt along winding rivers, bicycle through small fishing villages dotted with windmills, along vast polder landscapes and dune reserves and pass majestic castles. This trip features a day visit to Texel Island on the North Sea Coast.
Bike & Barge Holland Netherlands: with a peek into Germany, June 28 - July 5, $1020
Walled towns and castles of Holland's Gelderland, following the many beautiful river landscapes of Eastern Netherlands, and a visit to neighboring Germany along the historic Roman roads.
We're venturing east along the Wahl River to visit some of Holland's famous walled cities.
We'll then dip into Germany at the Via Romana- a centuries old route in the Lower Rhine Valley. We loop westward again visitng castles and windmill dotted hamlets of Gelderland.
Our final days loop back towards Amsterdam exploring the "Orchard of Holland" - a large produce growing region intertwined with majestic forests and medieval towns.
